The Travelling Post Offices - TPOs - generated their own branch of Postal
History because distinctive postal markings were used to cancel letters
sorted on board.
An introduction to these postmarks may be found on the TPO Introduction section of the TPO & Seapost Society website. The Society's site explores the rise of TPOs in Britain and around the world and is a source for more resources on this fascinating subject.

Editor's note: Thank you for contributing this page. We would prefer it if the BPMA Wiki was not simply a place to link to other useful websites. By all means link to your own website but we would greatly appreciate it if you could add a little more content to this page as well. If you would like to find out more about the Wiki, please email us on wiki@postalheritage.org.uk. Many thanks!
