These resources relate to the first maths activity in the First Class teachers' resources pack.

The activity is aimed at key stage 2 children (but can  be adapted for other key stages). It allows children to practice solving numerical problems and using and applying handling data. The Fact File provides data about types of mail and the price of postage and the Activity Sheet sets problems for the children to solve based on these figures.

Overseas stamps

Download a PDF of 28 overseas stamps (PDF, 320 KB).

Once you have cut these out, they can be distributed to each pupil as a basis for the activity about calculating postage rates for sending letters abroad.
