London 2010 Postcard Set

The London 2010: Festival of Stamps was a year-long celebration of stamps, stamp design and postal heritage, marking the centenary of the accession of King George V.

Five postcards were issued between September 2008 and August 2010 and this is the first time that the postcards are available as a limited edition complete set with an information sheet.

Only 200 sets have been made available; each set will be number 1 of 200 and so on and the postcards within the set have the same numbering.

The postcards are

  • Postcard 1 - First released at Autumn Stampex in September 2008,
  • Postcard 2 - Produced for distribution at shows organised by the Assoc. of British Philatelic Societies in 2009,
  • Postcard 3 - First released at Autumn Stampex in September 2009,
  • Postcard 4 - Exclusive to the February 2010 issue of Stamp and Coin Mart,
  • Postcard 5 - First available in August 2010 at the 'Post Office at War' weekend event at Bletchley Park.

The original stamps and stamp artwork that features on these postcards can be found in the collections of the British Postal Museum & Archive.
