Two beautiful Wedgwood Jasperware plates featuring the most iconic portraits of British monarchs from stamp designs: Queen Victoria’s head on The Penny Black and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the Machin stamp.

The Black Basalt plate shows Queen Victoria’s portrait from the world’s first postage stamp, issued in 1840.

The Portland Blue plate features the classic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin, which has been reproduced on stamps over 200 billion times since 1965.

The plates are 11cm in diameter with a white wreath of laurel leaves on the border and come beautifully presented in a Wedgwood box.
